Contestants of the MTN Project Fame Season 8 are set to enjoy an experience of a lifetime, as A-list stars get to collaborate with them on new versions of their hit songs.
Nigerian entertainment platforms, 960 Music and Ultima Productions, are bringing this to light in a new contestant/ artiste partnership that will result in collaborations of hit songs as Gongo Aso from 9ice, Motherland by Sound Sultan and Praiz’s Rich & Famous, among others.
Fans and followers of the reality show get to see the live performances of these collaborations on air on Sunday, September 27.
Chief Executive of 960 Music, Mark Redguard, throws light on the project, explaining the need for contestants to get a feel of the real entertainment world out there.
He spoke further:
‘The idea behind this collaboration is to give the contestants a feel of the real world, before they exit the Academy and to form a mentor-mentee relationship between the contestants and the established artists.’
Other hit songs to be collaborated on are Kedike by Chidinma, Kissing by Yemi Alade and Oreo by Iyanya.
The Academy is also helping its students in a mentor-mentee process as they get to work and interface with hit producers like TY Mix, Password, Shizzi, DJ Coublon, Del B, Selebobo, and the super gifted Cobhams Asuquo.
