11 Suspected Criminals Killed By Rivers State Police

Rivers state commissioner of police, Musa Kimo, has revealed that 8 suspected kidnappers and 3 armed robbery suspects were killed in a separate shoot-out with officers of the state police command in the last two weeks.

Firearms recovered from the gang by the police

Kimo, who disclosed this at a news conference on Tuesday, September 22, in Port Harcourt, said that the success recorded by the police in the state was due to the pro-activeness and professionalism displayed by his men.

He said that during the period, six armed robbery suspects, seven suspected kidnappers were arrested while the six kidnapped people were safely rescued.

According to The Herold, Kimo said that six suspected cultists were arrested and 32 firearms were recovered from various criminal gangs.

Stolen vehicles recovered from car thieves

 It was gathered that the firearms recovered includes three AK-47 rifles, 11 pump-action guns, 10 locally-made pistols, three double-barrel guns, three single-barrel guns and 101 assorted ammunition.

Kimo said the nine suspected stolen vehicles recovered from the gangs includes BMW X5 Jeep, Toyota Lexus saloon, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Xterra Jeep, among others.
