Meet couple who quit their good paying job to travel, they are now broke that they have to scrub toilets to earn a living

A South African couple, Chanel Cartell and Stevo Dirnberger made headlines earlier this year after they quit their stable advertising jobs to see how far from home they could travel.
The couple is chronicling their journey on a blog called “How Far From Home.” Since starting their trip they have posted snaps from beautiful locations all around the world.
But the couple wants their readers to know, when they aren’t doing yoga on a beach in Greece, they are scrubbing out toilets and scrounging for cash.
In a post on their blog, Cartell wrote that she and Dirnberger realized that their social media posts about their trip are not really telling the full story.
“Browsing through our blog posts and Instagram feed, it seems like we’re having the time of our lives,” she wrote. “And don’t get me wrong – we are. It’s bloody amazing. But it’s not all ice-creams in the sun and pretty landscapes.”
In fact, she wrote when they aren’t taking pretty pictures, they are doing “painstakingly hard and dirty work.”
So far, I think we’ve tallied 135 toilets scrubbed, 250 kilos of cow dung spread, 2 tons of rocks shovelled, 60 metres of pathway laid, 57 beds made, and I cannot even remember how many wine glasses we’ve polished.
You see, to come from the luxuries we left behind in Johannesburg, to the brutal truth of volunteer work, we are now on the opposite end of the scale. We’re toilet cleaners, dog poop scoopers, grocery store merchandisers, and rock shovelers.

Pandemonium as four masquerades invade Ondo church, flog pastors, worshipers

Pandemonium engulfed the Epinmi Akoko area of Ondo state on Sunday as a church service was reportedly disrupted by four masquerades who flogged the pastors and the worshipers.
One of the masquerades, Tunde Arohunmolase was however arrested while others fled after flogging the pastors and the worshipers.
Police source said that the masquerades invade the Christ Apostolic Church in the town while the service was on-going and abruptly ended it.
Two of the Pastors were reportedly injured by the time the masquerades left the church premises.
It was gathered that when the masquerades arrived the church premises they were challenged by some of the church workers.
But they reportedly ‎overpowered them and went straight for their target.
While other worshipers fled leaving the Pastors , their attackers reportedly had a field day dealing with them.
It was also leant that the matter ‎was later reported at the police station and one of the suspect was apprehended.
Police detectives are probing the reason for the attack of the church by the masqueraders during the service.
When contacted the police Image Maker, Wole Ogodo, confirmed that two Pastors were wounded during the attack and have been treated.
He gave the names of the Pastors as Jacob Ogunmola and Kehinde Ilori.
The Police Spokesman added that one of the suspect- Tunde Arohunmolase is in Police custody and has made useful statement.
Ogodo assured that the fleeing masqueraders would soon be arrested from their hideouts.

16-Year-old Girl fakes pregnancy with TRIPLETS for 10 months with help of a website

A 16-year-old Michigan girl was able to fake that she was pregnant to family and friends for ten months., and even tripled-down on the lie by saying she had triplets.
The unidentified teenager from Wyandotte, a suburb of Detroit, used a website called fakeababy.com to trick those around her into believing the ruse and reportedly giving her thousands of dollars in gifts.
Fake pregnancy bellies are available for $149 as well as a litany of other fake items including fake ultrasounds, which a Facebook user on a group for the mothers of triplets soon realized were not real.
When confronted, the teenager broke down and told detectives that she had lost her baby at six weeks, according to Fox2 Detroit.

The fake young mother had even named her children and held a baby shower where she received more gifts than she could open.

EXPOSED!!! How a 65-year-old landlord lured a 7-year old girl and raped her for rituals

A 65-year-old landlord, Mr. Ganiyu Sani in Akowonjo area of Lagos, has allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl, Blessing. But this time, the parents of the victim believe he did it for ritual purposes.
The civil servant mother of the victim told Punch that on Monday, August 17, 2015, when she got back from work and was having dinner with her children, Blessings started to touch her crotch and complain of pain.
“I felt the part she was touching and asked what was wrong with her. I thought she was referring to her lower abdomen and believed it must be stomach ache. But she insisted that it was her private part.
“I asked if she fell down and hurt herself but she simply shook her head. I asked if someone hit her there while she was playing with other children in the neighbourhood, she said no. I started suspecting there was something bigger than what she was telling me.
“I pleaded with her to tell me what happened. That was when she told me about what Baba did. I could not contain my anger. I was shocked, angry and sad at the same time that such an old man could do such a thing to my daughter. My daughter had no reason to lie.”
Blessing’s father, a trader from Ebonyi State, works in the Eastern part of the country while his wife and the children live in Lagos because of his wife’s work.
He was in the East when he received a call from his wife about what had happened to their daughter. He told his wife to take a neighbour along to go and confront Baba, who denied everything immediately.
Baba Sani, a landlord who lives on renting out Danfo buses to commercial bus drivers, lives just two houses away from Blessing’s parents.
Little Blessing, on explaining what Baba Sani did to her, said;
She said, “On Friday, my mummy was not around and he came to fetch water (like he normally does). When he was passing in the front of our house, he asked me to follow him to come and collect biscuit.
“When I got to Baba’s house, he put off my shoes and carried me to his bed. He removed my pants and lay on my chest. When I was shouting, he said I should not shout, that he would give me biscuit and N20.
“When he finished, I saw blood coming out and Baba used a cloth to clean it. He said I should not tell anybody. He gave me biscuit and N20.”
Shockingly, without Blessing’s mother knowing, Baba Sani allegedly called the girl and raped her again the following day, a Saturday.
To dispel doubts about the girl’s allegation, she was asked to explain the location of Baba Sani’s bedroom inside the building and her description was found to be exact description when Punch correspondent eventually paid Baba Sani a visit.
Baba Sani said, “The girl’s mother once approached me about a month ago to lend her N500. She sent her daughter to collect it and I gave it to them. Later, the girl with her younger sister came to my house that Friday to ask for money and I gave them N20.
“I did not do anything. I don’t know anything about what they have accused me of. God is my witness. I am just surprised about why I am the one the girl is accusing of such a thing.”
When asked how the girl could possibly know where his bedroom was in the house, the old man said he had no idea.
Blessing’s mother said she had many other co-tenants and neighbours and said she couldn’t have imagined asking Baba Sani to lend her any money.
A test conducted at the Mirabel Sexual Assault Referral Centre at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, confirmed that the girl was indeed raped as lacerations on her private part were consistent with sexual assault.
